EgyptAir to Expand Fleet with 34 New Aircraft

EgyptAir has announced plans to strengthen its fleet with the acquisition of 34 new aircraft, including Airbus A350-900s and Boeing 737 MAX jets. The news was shared by EgyptAir Holding Chairman Ahmed Adel during the World Travel Market 2025 event, where he also confirmed that a portion of the existing fleet will undergo modernization.

The airline had previously placed a firm order for six Airbus A350-900s at the 2025 Paris Air Show. With the latest expansion, EgyptAir’s total A350-900 order count has now reached 16.

Adel noted that the company aims to broaden its global network, with new destinations in North America — particularly Los Angeles and Chicago — under consideration. Additional capacity increases are also planned for high-demand markets.
